Parent Involvement
The school calendar is available for you to check out what is going on at school. PTO meetings are listed, but here are the dates:September 15, October 20, November 17, December 15, January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20, and May 18. The meetings are held in the library from 6:30-7:30. We hope you can make it.
We save McDonalds' receipts, Boxtops for Education, and Campbells' Soup Labels. We can send in any McDonald's receipts from the following counties in Wisconsin-Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. If you're not sure if the receipt is acceptable, send it in anyway and we will check it out! You can see what we bought by clicking on the Library tab at the top of the page.
Mrs. Allen, our librarian, is trying to collect 1,000,000 pull tobs from drink cans. When we reach 1,000,000 they will be donated to Ronald McDonald House and cancer research. Please send in the tabs as well as the McDonalds' receipts, Boxtops for Education, and Campbells' Soup labels with your child.
If any of you shop at Roundy's Pick and Save, please consider listing us as your We Care progam choice. The school will receive a percetage of the We Care dollars that Pick 'n Save contributes.
We also collect old cell phones-be sure to remove any of your contacts or pictures you may have stored-as well as old ink cartridges from your printers.
There is a new procedure regarding school absenteeism related to H1N1. Effective September 30, 2009 we are required to track and report to the Kenosha Health Department on a daily basis. From now on if you are calling your child in absent, please indicate whether it is because
a. your child has an influenza-like illness (ILI) defined as a fever (100˚F or greater) and a cough and/or sore throat or
b. your child has other reasons for being absent
